My first IVF was the microdose lupron flare protocol which is not quite the same as yours, but similar components. I did birth controls pills for 18 days starting on CD 1. On CD20 I had a baseline u/s and blood work and began twice a day micro dose Lupron shots with each dose 10 units. On the third day I added my stims which were 450iu Follistim and 150iu Menopur. U/S and blood work monitoring continued every few days throughout. I took the stims and microdose Lupron for a total of 10 days. On the evening of the 11th day I took the trigger (Pregnl).

36 hours later was my ER. I was VERY nervous about taking all these meds for the first time, but to be honest I did not have very many side effects. Towards the end of the stimming phase I was a little crampy and bloated but nothing that wasn't tolerable or in any way severe. Try to not worry about doing it until you actually start the process and see how it affects you. You may be pleasantly surprised like I was that it was really not bad at all. IVF #2: Apr ' 14. Retrieval Only. 2 embryos made it to day 3 freeze & will be batched with IVF #3 for PGD testing. IVF #3: June '14.
Retrieval Only. 4 embryos growing, all arrested before day 5. Two from April thawed, but also arrested.
