The upgraded space maps are really nice, and only $12, and the box miniature stiffeners are a cool add-on, but they're only available for another day and a half or so in the Traveller Kickstarter (you don't have to get any of the Traveller stuff, you can pick up the map and box miniature stiffeners separately). Feb 19, 2017 VASSAL combined with the AVID tool works for Attack Vector and a PBEM game. Attack Vector: Tactical. I am using the pdf rules.
If you want, you can just download the PDF of the maps for free and print them. That might end up being more expensive.
